Sessions and devices

This page shows every browser and device that is currently signed in to your account, so you can spot anything you do not recognize and log it out. Use it after signing in on a shared computer, or if you think someone else may have access.

Open your sessions

  1. Go to your account settings at /settings/sessions.
  2. The page opens to the Active sessions section.

You will see one entry per active session. Each entry shows:

  • A monitor or phone icon, depending on whether the session is on a desktop or mobile device.
  • The browser and platform (for example, "Chrome on macOS").
  • The IP address that the session is connected from.
  • When it was last used. Your current session is labelled Currently active; others show Last active with a relative time.

The session you are using right now is marked with a This device badge.

If no session details are available, you will see "No active sessions information available."

Log out other sessions

If you spot a session you do not recognize, or you simply want to end every other login, you can log them all out at once. This does not sign you out of the device you are currently using.

  1. On the sessions page, find the Log out other sessions section.
  2. Select Log Out Other Sessions.
  3. In the Confirm Password dialog, enter your account password. This confirms it is really you.
  4. Select Log Out Other Sessions again to finish.

Every other browser and device is signed out immediately. The next time someone tries to use one of those sessions, they will be asked to sign in again.

Notes

  • You cannot log out individual sessions one at a time. The action clears all sessions except your current one.
  • If you enter the wrong password, you will see "The provided password is incorrect." and nothing is logged out. Try again with the correct password.
  • Logging out other sessions does not change your password. If you suspect your account is compromised, change your password too. See Password and security.

Why a session might disappear

Sessions also end on their own when:

  • You sign out normally from a device.
  • A session expires after a long period of inactivity.

If a session you expected is missing, it most likely ended for one of these reasons rather than being a problem.

When to use this

  • You signed in on a public or shared computer and forgot to sign out.
  • You changed devices and want to clean up old logins.
  • You notice a browser, platform, or IP address you do not recognize. Log out other sessions, then change your password as a precaution.
