Credits and usage
Some agencms accounts use credits to meter usage of certain features. This page shows you how to check your balance, see where credits went, and buy more when you need them.
Is the credits system on for you?
Credits are an optional feature. If your account does not use them, you will not see a credit balance or a "Usage & Credits" link anywhere in the dashboard, and there is nothing for you to manage here.
When credits are turned on, you will see a small coin chip with your current balance in the dashboard. Hover over it to see the split between your monthly allowance and any purchased credits. Click it to jump straight to the usage page.
Open the usage page
- Go to your account settings at
/settings. - In the settings sidebar, select Usage & Credits.
You can also click the credit chip in the top of the dashboard to land on the same page.
Understand your balance
The usage page breaks your credits into two parts.
Monthly allowance
Your Monthly allowance is the pool of credits included with your plan. The card shows how many you have left out of your total, a progress bar, and the date your allowance resets. When the cycle resets, your allowance refills to the full amount. Unused allowance does not carry over.
If your account is part of an organization, the allowance is shared by everyone in the organization. The page tells you when this is the case.
Purchased credits
The Purchased credits card shows credits you have bought on top of your plan. Unlike your monthly allowance, top-up credits never expire, and they are not reset when your allowance refills.
When you spend credits, agencms uses your monthly allowance first and falls back to your purchased credits once the allowance runs out.
Review your history
The History section lists every credit movement on the account, newest first. Each row shows:
- A label describing what happened (for example, a grant or a specific action).
- The date, and who performed it where relevant.
- The amount, shown in green for credits added and red for credits spent.
- The balance remaining after that movement.
Use the Previous and Next buttons to page through older activity. If nothing has happened yet, you will see a "No activity yet" message.
Buy more credits
If top-ups are enabled and you have permission to manage billing, you can buy credit packs.
- On the usage page, open the Purchased credits card.
- Select Buy credits.
- In the Buy credits dialog, review the available packs. Each pack shows its name, how many credits it adds, and its price.
- Select the price button on the pack you want.
- You are redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page to complete payment.
After a successful payment you are returned to the usage page and see a "Payment received" message. Your purchased credits appear within a few moments once the payment is confirmed.
If you do not see a Buy credits button, either top-ups are not enabled on your account or you do not have billing permissions. Account owners and billing managers can purchase on behalf of the whole account or organization.
Running out of credits
If you try an action that costs more credits than you have, agencms shows an Out of credits prompt. From there you can buy more credits or upgrade your plan to get a larger monthly allowance.
