Plans and subscriptions

This page shows you how to see what plan you are on and how to move between plans. Everything happens in one place: Settings → Subscription at /settings/subscription.

Open your subscription settings

  1. Go to /settings/subscription.
  2. The page header shows whose billing you are viewing, for example "Billing and plans for Personal Account" or your organization name.

If you are a member of an organization but not the owner, you will see a note that only the organization owner can change billing. The plan buttons are disabled for you in that case.

Your current plan

If you have an active subscription, the top card shows your current plan:

  • The plan name and whether you are billed monthly or yearly.
  • The price per month, plus "billed yearly" when you are on a yearly cycle.
  • Next billing and Last payment dates.
  • The number of members included.
  • Your Subscription ID, with a Copy button.

Use Manage in Stripe to open the Stripe customer portal for payment methods and invoices, or Cancel subscription to stop renewing. See Invoices and receipts for billing history.

View and compare plans

Scroll to the Choose a plan section (titled Change plan once you are subscribed).

  1. Use the Monthly / Yearly toggle to switch billing cycles. When yearly plans cost less than paying monthly, the toggle shows how much you save.
  2. Each plan card lists its description, price per month, and included features.
  3. Your active plan is marked Current. A plan you have already scheduled is marked Scheduled.

Prices always display as a per-month figure. On the yearly toggle, the card notes "billed yearly" so you know the full amount is charged once a year.

Subscribe to a plan

If you do not have a subscription yet:

  1. Pick a billing cycle, then choose a plan.
  2. Click Subscribe to {plan}.
  3. You are taken to a checkout review page first. Nothing is charged until you confirm there.

Upgrade or downgrade

Once you are subscribed, the button on each plan changes to match the move:

  • Upgrade to {plan} for a higher-priced plan, or for switching from monthly to yearly.
  • Downgrade to {plan} for a lower-priced plan.
  • Current plan for the plan and cycle you are already on (this button is disabled).

When you click an upgrade or downgrade, a confirmation dialog explains the timing:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. Stripe creates a prorated charge for the rest of the current billing period.
  • Downgrades (and most cycle changes) are scheduled. They apply at the end of your current billing period, and your current plan stays active until then.

Click Confirm change to proceed, or Cancel to back out.

Pending (scheduled) changes

When a downgrade or scheduled change is queued, an amber banner appears near the top of the page:

Scheduled change to {plan} ({cycle}). Takes effect on {date}.

The target plan's card is also marked Scheduled. Scheduled changes are applied automatically when the date arrives.

Cancel a scheduled change

If you change your mind before the date:

  1. Find the amber Scheduled change banner.
  2. Click Cancel change.

Your current plan continues unchanged.

Website capacity

Some plans support extra websites as an add-on. When available, a Website capacity card shows your Included websites, Extra websites, and current Usage.

  1. Click Add or remove websites.
  2. Use the + and buttons to set the number of extra websites. You cannot drop below the minimum needed for your current usage.
  3. Click Save capacity. Extra websites are billed on your current subscription cycle.

If your subscription is ending

  • On grace period: a banner shows the cancellation date. You keep full access until then, and a Resume button lets you restart before that date.
  • Ended: the banner notes when your website data is scheduled for deletion. Renew before that date to keep your data.
