Appearance and privacy

This page helps you personalize how the dashboard looks and decide what other people can see about you. You can switch between light and dark mode, add your social media links, and tune your profile visibility from your account settings.

Choosing light or dark mode

The appearance setting controls the theme of the dashboard itself. It is saved to your account, so it follows you across devices.

  1. Go to Appearance settings at /settings/appearance.
  2. Pick one of the three options:
    • Light — always use the light theme.
    • Dark — always use the dark theme.
    • System — match whatever your device or browser is set to.

Your choice applies right away. There is no separate save button for appearance — the dashboard updates the moment you select an option.

This setting only changes the look of your dashboard. It does not change the theme of the websites you build. To style a published site, see Themes.

Social links let you list the profiles and websites you want associated with your account.

  1. Open Social links at /settings/social.
  2. Fill in any of the fields you want to share:
    • Twitter / X
    • LinkedIn
    • GitHub
    • Website
    • YouTube
    • Instagram
  3. Enter a full URL for each field, for example https://x.com/username.
  4. Select Save links.

You can leave any field blank. Only the links you fill in are saved, and you can come back to update or remove them at any time. A short "Saved" message confirms when your changes go through.

Controlling your privacy

Privacy settings decide who can view your profile and how your information is used. Open Privacy settings at /settings/privacy.

Profile visibility

Choose who can see your profile:

  • Public — anyone can view your profile and your public information.
  • Private — only you and your organization members can view your profile.

Show email on profile

Turn this on to display your email address on your public profile. It is off by default, so your email stays hidden unless you choose to show it.

Search engine indexing

Turn this on to let search engines index your profile. It is on by default. Switch it off if you do not want your profile to appear in search results.

After adjusting any of these options, select Save settings. A "Saved" message confirms your changes.

Tips

  • If you set your profile to Private, the "Show email on profile" and "Search engine indexing" options only matter for people who already have access.
  • Appearance is a per-account preference and is independent of your privacy and social settings — changing one does not affect the others.
