Building pages

Pages are the individual screens of your website, like your home page, about page, or contact page. This page shows you how to create pages, edit them in the visual builder, set a home page, duplicate them, and reuse pages you have already built.

Open the Pages screen

  1. From the dashboard at /dashboard, open the website you want to work on.
  2. In the website workspace, go to Pages at /dashboard/websites/{website}/pages.

The Pages screen lists every page as a card with its preview, language, author, and last-updated time. The home page is marked with a house icon, and any page that is not live shows a status badge such as Draft.

Create a page

  1. On the Pages screen, click New page (or Create your first page if the list is empty).
  2. A new page called Untitled Page is created as a draft and opens straight in the visual builder.
  3. Add and arrange sections, then give the page a name and slug (see below).

New pages start empty and in Draft status, so they are not visible on your live site until you publish them.

Edit a page in the builder

Click any page card to open it in the builder. To learn how sections and the canvas work, see Builder overview.

Your changes save automatically as you work. The toolbar shows the save state, and a warning appears if a save fails so you can keep editing without losing work.

Set the page name, slug, and SEO details

Open the page settings in the builder to edit:

  • Title — the page name shown in your dashboard and browser tab.
  • Slug — the last part of the page URL, for example about-us.
  • Excerpt and Thumbnail — used in previews and listings.
  • Meta Description and Meta Keywords — used for search engines.
  • Template — the layout shell the page uses. See Templates.

Publish or unpublish

When you are ready to go live, click Publish in the toolbar. If a page is already live and you have made edits, the button reads Publish changes so you can push the latest draft. To take a live page offline, open the toolbar's more-actions menu and choose Unpublish.

Set a home page

Your home page is the page visitors see at the root of your site.

  1. On the Pages screen, open the menu (three dots) on the page you want.
  2. Click Set as home page.

The previous home page for that language is automatically switched back to a normal page, and the new home page becomes the site's landing screen.

Duplicate a page

To start a new page from an existing layout:

  1. Open the menu on the page card.
  2. Click Duplicate.

A copy is created as a draft named Copy of [page title] with a new slug, and it opens in the builder so you can edit it.

Translate a page

If your website supports more than one language, the page menu includes a Translate option with each available language. Choosing a language creates a linked copy of the page in that language, ready for you to translate the content.

Preview a page

To see a page before it is live, open the page menu and click Preview, or use Preview in the builder toolbar. This shows the current draft without affecting your live site.

Reuse a page you have built

Inside the builder, the Pages library lets you search your existing pages and pull their content into the page you are editing. This is handy when several pages share the same layout or sections.

Delete a page

  1. Open the menu on the page card.
  2. Click Delete and confirm.

Deleting a page cannot be undone. The home page cannot be deleted directly; set another page as home first.

Page limits

Your plan sets how many pages each website can have. If you reach that limit, creating or duplicating a page shows a message asking you to upgrade your plan to add more.
