Invoices and payment

This page shows you where to find your billing history and how to update the card you pay with. Both live under the Billing section of your account settings.

View your invoices

Each charge against your subscription creates an invoice. To see them:

  1. Open your account settings and select Invoices under Billing (or go to /settings/invoices).
  2. You'll see your invoice history, newest first. Each row shows the amount, what it was for, the date, and the invoice number.
  3. A status badge tells you where each invoice stands:
    • Paid — the charge went through.
    • Open — the invoice is issued but not yet paid.
    • Void — the invoice was cancelled.
    • Uncollectible — payment could not be collected.

If you don't have any invoices yet, the page shows "No invoices yet." Invoices start appearing once you have an active subscription. See Plans and subscriptions to get set up.

Download an invoice

Each invoice row has a download button (the down-arrow icon on the right).

  1. Find the invoice you want in the list.
  2. Click the download icon.
  3. The invoice opens in a new browser tab, where you can save or print it.

These are the official invoice documents generated by Stripe, suitable for your records and accounting.

Update your payment method

You manage your card and other payment details through the secure Stripe billing portal. To open it:

  1. Open your account settings and select Subscription under Billing (or go to /settings/subscription).
  2. Click Manage in Stripe.
  3. You'll be taken to the Stripe billing portal in the same window.

In the portal you can:

  • Add or replace your payment card.
  • Set which card is the default.
  • Update your billing address and email.
  • Review your invoice and payment history.

When you're done, the portal returns you to your Subscription page.

If you don't see the button

The Manage in Stripe button only appears once you have an active subscription set up with a payment method. If you've never subscribed, start at Plans and subscriptions first.

Who can manage billing

Viewing and downloading invoices, and opening the Stripe portal, are limited to team members with billing permission. If you don't see the Billing section or the Manage in Stripe button, ask your account owner to grant you billing access or to make the change for you. See Team and roles for more on permissions.

Tips

  • Keep the email on your Stripe billing details current so payment receipts and any failed-payment notices reach you.
  • If a payment fails, the related invoice shows as Open or Uncollectible. Update your card in the Stripe portal, and Stripe will retry the charge.
  • The amounts and currency shown match exactly what Stripe charged, so you can reconcile them directly against your bank statement.
